I recently bought Xavier his first play dough. He loved it, played with it, and, within a day, misplaced it. Much to my initial confusion, he ran up to me, yelling, "Momma, where are my Socrates..."

Out like a Lamb

Tilly is officially, if tentatively, walking. Xavier is officially jealous.

Marching on...

Tilly suddenly burst into language in the last two weeks. She started with the classic "bye-bye" and has moved on to Ginky (for stinky, tapping her diapers as she shouts it) Bubba, Baby, and Yum-yums. We're very proud. Xavier is pretty pleased too. But now he occasionally complains that Tilly said something like she thinks his socks look funny, or that the grapes are dirty, but HE doesn't think so.
Also, Xavier has started to have nightmares. He woke up yelling the other night and the next morning, when asked, described how he had seen two ghosts in his dream. One of these ghosts told him "I'm going to eat you" but he explained, "it was an accident; he didn't mean it. He meant to say, may I please have some juice..." We plan to leave a sippy cup by the bed and hope all offending and offended members will be appeased.

New PJs, Boxes from Bapcia, and a Feb. Update

All is quiet on the home front. We all survived a bout with the flu and the Valentine's day ice storm. Xavier is getting bigger--and hungrier (he claims)--every moment. As of today, Tilly is still not walking but she certainly is flirting with the idea. Here are the kids in their new Pjs and in boxes that came filled with treats from their Bapcia.

While Xavier was asking me for more gasoline for his chapped face, Tilly was trying out our car washing system. Xavier, of course, then had to get in on the act...
