Rotten Luck!

Well, turns out that Aimee is not eligible for the MDX-010 trial. While she did pass the initial blood screen, there was a second blood screen that she didn't pass. And Gee Whiz-- there was only a 5% chance that she wouldn't pass it. (She had the compound A-02 in her blood, but not A-02-01 ....) Rotten luck.

So. So, we meet next week to discuss other options. The top of the list seems to be the trip to NCI in Washington DC. We'll be looking at other clinical trial options in the meantime.

On the bright side, at least she won't have the possibility of getting sugar water infusions for the next 9 weeks. :)

It's a minor setback, but maybe God wanted to save us some time by avoiding another ineffective treatment. :)

Fine, then. Take your rotten trials and we'll go play in some other 'sandbox'. Onto bigger and better treatments that will do what we need it to do. God works in mysterious ways and so we go where he directs us. God bless you both and give you His wisdom and peace. We love you both.;)

Right, so no sugar water for you! It must be the right thing, though it seems disappointing. We can talk about work and work anything out. Sending lots of love and constant prayers.

Hi guys, it is probably better this way. Now we are guaranteed real treatment, not sugar! You are in my prayers always. See you this coming week for Thanksgiving break!

Hey! Don't knock sugar Sarah! It might not cure cancer but it goes a loooong way to making it feel better. See you soon to share some deserts-hooray! Aimee

Hey, I keep telling you--forget the suger! It is bad! Go directly to CHOCOLATE! It is the salve that soothes all ills. You just stay away from the empty calories and go directly to the heavy stuff--Dark, milk, crispy, kisses, bars, balls, bunnies, Santas, etc. Suger (water) bad--Chocolate good. LOL KS
