Well, it looks like Aimee will be entering the MDX-010 clinical trial. She passed the initial blood screen, she signed the consent form, and treatment will probably begin in 3 weeks.
Here's a quick rundown: Everything will be done here in Boston. Aimee will go in a total of 5 times over a 9 week period to receive an infusion of MDX-010 and an injection of a peptide vaccine. (There is a 20% chance that all she'll receive is a placebo.) She'll be scanned throughout to measure her progress. Keep your fingers crossed-- hopefully this will be the drug that does it.

Will and Aimee,
We're so glad to hear the good news about being selected for the treatment. We're rooting for you, and can't wait for the moment that we can raise our hands skyward and call out: "Victory of victories!!"
Love,
Lizzy and Court

Will and Aimee,
It's Kale. The Zelden family is on it, prayer-wise. We're in Rhode Island now. Send me a line when you have a moment: kalezelden@gmail.com
Stay strong Aimee. (the Kids are beautiful)

Thinking about this one last night and thought of you two, as well, and as always:
"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is in me bless his holy name... bless the Lord, O my soul and forget not all his benefits, who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who heals all thy ills, who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's." (Ps.103)
All my love, MB
If Aimee gets the placebo can I kill somebody? I mean seriously what is up with that?
But we will keep the prayers coming and expect good things. What's the point of being Catholic if we can't expect miracles?
Love you,
Mary
my question is, if you get the placebo do you still get real lollipops for each visit to the doctor?
You are all in our thoughts.

Dot-
She still gets treats; unfortunately, there is a 20% chance that the lollipops will be made with Splenda rather than sugar. ;)
You're a beautiful couple, embedded in so many hearts and prayers, including mine. I am so hopeful for you. God bless and keep you always, Sheila (O'Connor-Ambrose)
OK. Ms. Enos is now in overdrive. So, WHEN you get better AND they tell you you'be received the placebo, I want lots of (reflected) credit. Besides, I've made reservations- you have no idea how tough it is to get a table at the Four Seasons, so I thought I'd best book well in advance. And remember, just because you're an alum doesn't mean you don't have to complete any assignment I give you.(and you thought I was a nag in Latin...)
Love, prayers,
and boundless
hope,
Deborah
