With all our scheduling and scanning, we have been neglecting our posts of late. We were blessed to have most of Will's family up for Thanksgiving. We had a fantastic time, and can't wait to do it again! Here is a photo of the kids with their Bapcia and Papa B.
Xavier and Tilly are thrilled with all the holiday happenings. Xavier is helping out extra with household chores to make sure he gets in a last minute good word with Santa. Here, he helps do Tilly's "do" for the day.
He is a BIG help!
Also, my parents sent home to Somerville the kitchen set that my Dad made for my fourth Christmas. This is producing, as always, hours and hours of washing and baking fun for everyone. Thanks, Dad!We are all doing well, and are getting ready and excited for Christmas. I finished up my classes for the semester and am just working on my grading. On the medical front, I did my brain MRI on Monday, have a PET scan and another round of minor tests on the 18th, a liver MRI sometime between now and the 19th, and, hopefully, start treatments in New Haven on the 20th.
I continue to be amazed and humbled by the outpouring of love and support that you all keep sending our way. We are blessed in our friends and family. Thank you so much!
With all our love,
Aimee

Poppie always did love you best!!Next thing you'll get is the toy chest lion, cool retro Fisher Price stuff, a box of expensive tissues(the lotion stuff) for Barbie dresses, and finally the "big" doll house. (Although, I don't think it would fit in the mini-van for transport home.) Luckie duckie! Hope you enjoy. (We only got hand-me down, plastic Barbie kitchen set from the neighbors. Some people get all the good heirlooms.) All I can say is, keep your hands off the pheasant soup tureen. (Giggle, giggle, giggle)Make some good playdough food for us and we'll be by to eat it before you know it.
Tilly's hairdo scared me. I was expecting to scroll down and see that Xavier had been given a mohawk by Tilly.
Please don't tell them about dread locks!
Yikes! The goings on in Somerville ;)
How precious that your Dad made you that kitchen and that is has been kept good ALL THESE YEARS!
As long as Tilly knows that women belong in the House...and the Senate! LOL
Love,
Mary
I'm amazed that Tilly tolerated Xavier's attempts at hairdressing! LOL.
Hey, also, I agree with M. Are the hairstyle's of Dr.Suess' Whoville coming into style? Are is Xavier warming up to do Poppie's hair? If so, you have to get more clips and real elastics and less "soft" elastics.
We thought the same thing! Poppy even agreed that she looked just like him in some of our hairstyling attempts of yore! But we think Poppy needs something really special for Christmas...maybe we could involve the hairdeenni. (Mary, we are still working on the mohawk-apparently that is less reversible :))
Or, you could try the less popular, yet still statement making, hawkmow. David did this recently when he got hold of the hair clippers and took a swipe down the center of his head. He then came to show me how he had helped Dad and cut his own hair. Luckily, Dad could shave off the rest to make a more, unified look. They must have overheard me say the words, "family holiday pictures this weekend".;)
meg, the pheasant soup tureen is MINE!!! now that betty is married, it's GREAT to be THE SOLE HEIR!!! aimee and will, it was so great to see you on tuesday. i hope your test results are good. you are in my prayers. can't wait to see you when break finally comes around. and i love tilly's hair! love, sarah
Can I claim the pheasant soup tureen? I do think I'm your parents favorite ;)
Fine, Sarah and Petrus fight it out for the tureen. I really want the bejeweled elephant. Kate claims it has been lost to the sands of time. I however, feel someone is holding out on me (Sarah). And if the elephant truely has gone the way of the snowman, I want the "Golden fork". Satisfied?!
Okay, the snowman went the way of Kate. It IS the official frosty of the year of her birth, after all. But the elephant really is gone; Mamie gave it to ME (Happy Birthday yesterday Mamie!) but in our toasty good morning room all the beads dried up and fell off and it was decidedly less attractive all naked and gluey, and, alas, is no longer with us. But you can have the golden fork- I might even be convinced to share the cockroach of happiness if you want it, that is how much I love you. Besides, Jess is right; she probably is Mom and Dad's favorite by now anyway. I think they already assigned the chinese screen to her, didn't they?
Wait a minute here, nobody said anything about the good stuff! Are you just gonna give the orientals, the screen, the teacup collection, and good china to just somebody off the school campus? Next, Poppie's gun and Giggi's charm bracelet will be at Sotherby's next to John Lennon's lock of hair in a book. Fine, Petrus, if you want to duke it out for the good stuff, be prepared. I've had many years of study at the foot of Playdough and I am prepared to fight for my Christmas Tree heritage.(But, can Jess put on a roof...that is the true test of their love.)
Wait! I had no IDEA that there was so much cool stuff to fight over!! The elephant, a roof (?), trees and golden forks... I'm going to have to pick my battles wisely here. Anyone want to form an alliance?
bwahahahaha!!
nobody even try it... I AM THE SOLE HEIR!!! EVERYTHING, including naked gluey elephants is now MINE! sounds sorta selfish but that's the way of the world and THE SOLE HEIR! love, sarah, the sole heir
AND besides everyone knows that beth is the favorite... sorry jess.
Booo Hooooo Boooo Hoooo sniffle sniffle sniffle. Nobody loves me everybody hates me. Guess I'll go eat worms...(Doesn't the bearer of the first grandchildren count for anything?)
So, Sarah, you're trying to say that you are the sole heir?
Wanna make an alliance, er, I mean, be friends?
Jess
