Day 3

Nothing to report (No news = good news). A little talking in her sleep-- admonishing Xavier and reaching out to grab Tilly. The worst part of the chemo will be over tonight, and she'll switch to a less harsh chemical.

I have to say, we really like Aimee's doctor here-- Dr. Brock Lanier. He's very friendly, always checking up on her, and even though I am sure he is very busy, he makes it seem like Aimee is his only patient. He always comes in and sits down, asks how things are going, and explains each step of the treatment. Always a smile on his face. He's young, but quite knowledgable. You can also see that he's genuinely excited about what he's doing-- in all the aspects of his office. The nurses have been great too. In fact, we've been impressed with everyone here so far.

Other than that .... It's wet, windy, and chilly out here. How's it out there? :)

Leave it to Aimee to be a better parent than the rest of us in her sleep.
When this is all over remind Aimee to tell you she has a better gift in you than anything else imaginable. My guess is she has already told you, because you really are (pardon the cliche) a rock. Thank you for keeping us informed.

Hi Will, thanks for the update. You have given us such peace of mind knowing she is being watched over by someone who truely loves her...and not some clinician. Keep up the good work and we're praying for you too!
Things in Kansas are hot. (So what else is new?) It is about 85 and sunny, with the possibility of rain, on Tuesday, next week.
But, don't worry about what's going on outside the walls of NCI. Its just the same old stuff, all of us sending love, prayers, and encouragement to you and Aimee. Try to indulge in some serious leisure, Josef Piper style, and read, sleep, and watch lots of Discovery and Learning Channel stuff. When Aimee comes around, she'll want to know the latest findings at the newest Egyptian dig. Or how to best train a dog.It all makes for facinating conversation, or at least more interesting than medical jargon:)

So very glad to hear that Aimee is making it through the beginning of treatment with lots of rest and with so many wonderful people to support her through this! Our prayers continue!

With love,
Katy and the Wilson/Borse Fam

Will, I want to second Dot's beautiful comment about you. I look forward to getting to know you someday and someday soon when Aimee is all healed.

Lots of love to you both,
