Xavier the Story Teller

Recently, there was a video circulating the internet of a three year old girl, recounting what happens on the movie Star Wars. Xavier adored her tale immensely, yet still felt that it was fundamentally flawed. You see, this other three year old left out the most essential parts, such as the decapitation of robots, and her synopsis was totally devoid of the other side of the Star Wars saga-- LEGO Star Wars (for those who aren't familiar with LEGO star wars, it's a video game on the playstation that lets you play out the entire six episodes with LEGO characters). The following is his attempt to set the record straight about what really happens on Star Wars:

Here are some of my favorite parts:

Xavier: Do you know how Luke cut off C3's [C3P0's] head?
Daddy: (very matter of fact) That never happened....
Xavier: Only when Obi-wan gave Luke his light-saver.... Luke cut off C3's own head.
Daddy: That doesn't happen in the movie...
Xavier: Hmph... But ... but I saw that in Lego Star Wars.
Daddy: Lego Star Wars is different from the actual movie.
Xavier: (Look of disbelief, rebellion, and frustration with the bureaucracy of parents... as if to say, "Where's your imagination, Dad?")

Many minutes later...

Xavier: (just to spite Dad) And then Luke ...Pshhfff ... cut off C3's head ....

I much preferred Xavier's version...even with Mom and Dad's interupting!!!!!
Good job Xavier...I see your future will be either in TV or lecturing. Umph, now where is the family tradition in that comment...?
Love to see the pictures of the kids, keep up the great work Amie, we love and are praying for you.

Wow - he's an awesome story teller. And now, I FINALLY understand that movie.

I'm still wracking my brain for my own post on the hallowed subject!!

That was hilarious! I especially like the apocryphal tale of the penguin! This is how oral traditions really take off. Thank you, Xavier, for making our Friday morning. We can't wait to sit down and watch some of these movies with you.

Love to you all,
Court and Lizzy

I think that his jedi robe is the best part! The story would not be complete without his jedi ensemble! Love, Sarah

I agree with the auntie, the robe makes it! However, does Tilly get to do a review too? Maybe some songs--Old Macdonald had a farm line, Itsy Bitsy Spider, etc.. It could be a new line of work for the kids. Keeps them from unfolding the laundry:)!

What I want to know is it Dad's or Mom's robe?

My students say that the sound effects are the best part. Matt thinks that he's saying "boo, ger; boo, ger; boo, ger".

Jabberwock, beware! Now that the robots have been dealt with, Xavier will, no doubt, get around to you. Will he re-enact--or revise--the tale of your defeat?

Much love and continuing prayers,
Mary (Mumbach)

Oh C3's head! I thought he was saying Siegfried's head . . . and I was wondering if you guys had been filling his head with Wagner mythology. I actually would love to hear Xavier singing the Ride of the Valkyries!

Love love love this video! - Lizzy

Maybe you're right: it sounds like Siegfried, but not in the accompanying plot summary (probably excerpted from Spark Notes).
Bravo, directors, for adventures of your beamish boy and girl! In any circumstance, I still can't but grin when Mathilde Encounters a Lemon comes to mind.

I think Mike and I have watched this a bunch of times. We've laughed to hard we were crying. Even our Dog R2-D2 hopped up next to the computer to see what was going on... This was just great!

Joe Rocco wanted to know Why his "best friend" Xavier got to be on tv and not him or "that guy" (Vinny)

Lots of love
