Day 6

All's well. Aimee was allowed to leave the hospital today, as this is one of the last days before she becomes neutropenic. We took a little wheel-chair tour of the outdoors and played an intense game of scrabble back at the family lodge.

Tomorrow should be low-key too. I probably won't post anything again until Wednesday when the TIL is delivered and interleukin 2 begins.

I don't know Will...this is a family show and I don't think you are allowed to use the word, nuetr... in primetime.
Just kidding...so glad that you two are out in the sun.
God bless.

It's great to hear you're eating well Aimee. That is so important! There's nothing like good nutrition to give you strength. And it sounds like Will is quite the shake maker !
Ciao for now ~ Kat
PS Who won at Scrabble ? ;-)

Hi Will,
I went to Montrose with Aimee. Myself and two other Montrosians from Aimee's class have been keeping up with your blog. All of us are praying for Aimee and keeping her in our daily thoughts. We are putting together a little package for her and were wondering what is the best way to get it to her. Should we send it to the address listed on one of your recent postings...the Safra Family Lodge? Please let me know. Thank you!

Hi everyone. Thanks for all your kind words, thoughts, and prayers.

Meg: Sorry-- get so used to the jargon here. Neutropenic just means very low white blood cells.

Sharon: Yes, that address at the lodge is the best way to reach her.

hi Aimee and Will!

YAY! this is great news! I'm so happy things are going smoothly. you will be home with us again before you know it.

Love and prayers, and Will - my sympathies to your loss at the scrabble game....I know aimee won, she's always been a serious no-holding back scrabble player!!

Love, BethG

Will and Aimee,

Glad to hear that you both get to have some rest. We love ya'll very much. We are constantly praying for a full recovery. I miss joking around with you and Aimee. I think there are few people in the world with Aimee's sense of humor and wit . . . and I can't recreate it. Wish I could be with ya'll right now.

Mariana sends her love and prayers. As does Michael.

Oh, thank you for the clarification of terms. Dr. Barger would be pleased. (Those big fancy hospital words confuse simple bumkins like me.)
We are so thrilled Aimee's is up and about.
Keep up the healing and spirits;}
