We went in this morning to begin treatment. But Aimee had developed a rash this past weekend, most probably an allergic reaction to the "contrast" liquid used in the PET scan last Wednesday. The doctors had a look and thought it would be best to wait a week before she starts treatment, to give the rash time to clear up. (One of the side effects of Interleukin-II is a pretty nasty rash of its own-- so they didn't want to compound the problem.)
No worries here. Gives us another week to enjoy the summer. :)

Ciao Cowan Family,
I have just returned from my travels in Italy and Rome and spent much time in prayer, offering masses, and lighting candles for you all. I will continue in offering my masses and prayers for you here in VA. I am pretty sure they are just as efficacious. Although, they do feel more powerful in the Eternal City being surrounded by so many saints and the Holy Father.
I hope to vist you some time in the fall.
Many Blessings to You,
Lisa Kenna (Maw)
Well - I'm glad to hear about the postponement, particularly since I'll be back in the country for most of next week, so I will be around to offer any help you guys might need with watching X-man and Tillie, or making food, or anything you guys might need. I know Michael is ready to help as well. I'll be in touch soon to discuss -
All my love, Lizzy
What an awecome banner!
All of a sudden there seem to be lots more Cowan children: John, Xavier, Francis, and X-man. Which is the sweet one? The impish one (of robot fame)? The priestly one? The "real little boy"? I think you ought to give equal time to Mathilde, Lucy, Marie, and Tilly. Where are their pictures?
Thanks for the character study and the picture of your new-look living room.
As always, we send tons of love and prayers!

Such a cool header. I LOVE it.
Aim, call :)
We are back on the 10th and will be thinking of you next week. I'm glad you have had this week feeling well. Thank you for the blog and for keeping us apprised. You're such a strong and generous soul, Aimee.
Love, Hilary (Kevin, Maggie, Jamie)
