Day 15

Well, the drugs have been working. Aimee's appetite is returning, and the morphine is keeping the pain away. The doctors say her blood count looks so good that it's possible we could go home as soon as tomorrow! They want us to "practice" first, though. Aimee will stay with me at the family lodge tonight, and we'll see how that goes. And if all's well, we'll be back home for the weekend!

Hurray! We are so happy to think of you both being back in the comfort of your home - and more importantly in the embrace of your children!

Way to go guys! Now, here's the plan...when you get to the airport, get on the plane that says Wichita, KS. It goes west, not north. We will provide an all inclusive vacation which begins with your very own room overlooking the walk-out basement stairs. You will also be provided with your very own communal bath, for your exclusive use with Ben, Bridget, Peter, and Becca.
We can't wait for you to arrive.
But, should you choose to do the responsible thing and return home, well, we understand...family first.
We love you both. Good work!

We know it is still a long road, but we are hoping your road is getting easier to navigate....We are here, praying, sending you strength, love and a unwavering belief that anything can happen with intevention from our Lord!!

God bless you Aimee and Will.

Oh and by the way, I think just for giggles we should all show up at Meg's next summer... all kids and pets in tow...then all the ladies go out and leave the men with the kids ...It is just a thought...

or we could do it ocean side at the compound on the Cape...then hit the penny candy store for some Bullseyes!!!

All the best!!

Terrific news! See, what did I tell you, Aimee--you are the kind of girl who has a bulldog instead of a poodle on her skirt!

We'll be praying for a quick return home so that you can hug the sweet little bodies of those gorgeous children you're missing!

Love you both so much!
Claire & Co.

Oh, Frabjous Day! Calloo, Callay!
It's time to end the stay
And pack up to go far away!
Two little somebodies want you
to come back and play--

Enough bad rhyming--we pray for a complete recovery and a wonderful and long life for you all and a chance for you both to do your life's work in teaching and writing.

Will, your little sister Lucy was watching closely over you this whole time (I hope you had a little bit of a chance to remember her on Tuesday). May she take your gratitude and petitions to the Lord and bring back all the love and grace you need--and more!

All our love,
Chris and Bainard
