surgery today

Aimee goes in this morning to get a stent put in her kidney. Scans showed that it was enlarged and not really working. Hopefully, this will fix her up. The doctors say that there is some chance that the kidney won't recover-- since they have no idea how long it hasn't been working-- so say some prayers for her.

11:15am-- The procedure went fine, and Aimee is back in her room doing well.

Hey guys, so glad things seem to be moving forward. We will be praying so hard that all goes well and swelling and pain subside. Also, why didn't the doctor catch the prob lem with all the scans poor Aimee has undergone?
Either way, we are praying for better days ahead. Lots of cowboy love and prayers

We will definately be praying for a quick recovery and a successful surgery. I have lived with only one good kidney since I was nine and didn't even know it until I got pregnant the first time!...but I hope she gets to keep them both :-) SO glad to hear that the tumors may be shrinking!! Praise God! We love you all

As always, we keep you in our thoughts and prayers. I said a morning rosary for you today. Give Aimee a big kiss and hug from us! With this pressure off her kidneys, perhaps this will give those mighty, fighting T-cells a clearer path to their goal! We cheer them (and you all) on: Rah! Rah! Red! Kick them upside the head!

Love,
Chris and Bainard

thanks everyone. :)

I'm not sure why it wasn't caught before. I know it takes a special kind of scan to test the functioning of a kidney, one which she didn't have until Monday. I think its swelling didn't become obvious until recently.

So glad she's back to you.
Whenwill she know about the kidney's statis?
When can you go home?
Should relief be immediate? Or is it all a wait and see?

The grace & love of the Most High be to you: Aimee, Will, Tilly & xavier. Let us keep persevering in our faith like the Canaanite Woman in the Gospel of Matt 15:21-28. Like this woman in this gospel, Surely,God would answer our prayers 4 the well-being of our Aimee.
We are calling on the Blessed Trinity, which is the Doctor par Excellence to make our Aimee well physically and spiritually. As you all know, with faith nothing is impossible.

Hi Will and Aimee...
Will, doesn't Aimee get regular metabolic panels to check her creatinine and BUN levels? Her kidney levels? Those would be off if her functions were off. The back pain is a huge indicator of hydronephrosis, but it can strike people either really quickly, or really slowly... it is the ones that develop slowly that are tougher to catch. The last scan she had definitely could have seen it... but, hydronephrosis really can have a very quick onset in some people... so it is not always caught right away. The relief, with most of my patients, is rather quickly, and that pain should subside to her back. She may have some blood in her urine now too for a few days, but that should clear if she is drinking plenty of fluids...

Please know you are both in my thoughts tonite as always. We love you and pray for your both and your family constantly....
Hugs and good night...
Love, Chris and the boys in upstate NY
