2.2--four doses down!

Round two, day two is going well so far. We were pleased
to see our lovely nurses and to get our own old corner room back. The kids happily went off to Beth's house, and Will's back seems a bit better. As for me, I am doing well, already tired and sick to my stomach, but nothing major to complain about. My stent is acting up in that it has oozed through five dressings--but I do think this last one should do the trick. Meanwhile, despite the best intentioned books we have piled around us, Will and I are watching the Discovery channel and learning such important things as how to make brooms and zippers; if you need help in any of those areas please let us know, we'd be happy to oblige! Please keep us in your prayers. You continue to be ours. Lots of love,
-Aimee

If Will lets me, I'll join you in your discovery watching adventures tomorrow :) Have you seen shark attack? That's always a good one.

It's always good to know how to make zippers and brooms--it balances those crazy academics out, keeps 'em grounded! ;) Books, schmooks--overrated, I say. The Discovery channel is where it's at!

Lots of love and hugs to you,
Claire, Victor & Co.

Hope all's well--we really look forward to your notes Aimee. I have to say, however, that Grace was puzzled why you all needed TDC to figger out how brooms and zippers work.
By the way, we sent a small care package that should be at your apt. on Monday, when you're back. But it may get there on Sat., and then you'll have to deal with little notes from your mailman, etc. Apologies. Best, Greg Marks

I am thinking of you both constantly and praying for you. Awareness of all that the two of you both do and have done at Thomas More goes on to prayers not only of petition but of gratitude and, in turn helps me, right now, more than you can know.

May this treatment conclude with rapid success!

Love,
Mary (Mumbach)

P.S. I would like to lodge a protest: Claire has made a sweeping generalization about us and our kind (her own kind!) though in regard to the specific skills referred to, I will probably have to admit and surmise that in academic circles only Prof. Dupree has, for years, been fashioning his own brooms and zippers. I would also like to assure everyone that, all evidence to the contrary, I eventually discerned the method of utilizing the attachments to what is called, in layman's terms, my vacuum cleaner, and having acquired perfect knowledge of that skill, chose never to repeat such safe success monotonously, but in the spirit of discovery proper to academia, have daringly struck out for fresher fields of experimentation. So thanks to you both for the broom research! Perfect timing, as my present vehicle needs replacement.

(No doubt, after that feeble passage, Aimee's not the only one feeling queasy. Sorry)

Dear ones,

Just wanted you to know that I've made it into Worcester and am eager to be of help when it's convenient for you. I'm keeping tuned in via Baton Rouge. The Assumptionists remain the generous hostelers--and wine stewards--they were last year. And they will add their prayers to the chorus. Mine go up nonstop for you.

Love,

Papa B.

Just wanted you to know that I called into the relevant radio prayer line and asked for an abundance of grace to gently fall on Aimee and Will (and all the caretakers) as you do your "duty of the moment" . Love, kisses and hugs. Aunt Lin
